Now hiring in Springfield, MAThe Postdoctoral Fellowship in Juvenile Forensics will provide the opportunity to learn about the intricacies of the juvenile justice system and about the roles that Psychologists can have within that system by conducting evaluations in Western Massachusetts, including four counties- Hampden, Berkshire, Hampshire and Franklin During the Postdoctoral Fellowship, you will learn to assess a variety of clinical issues and their impact on the specific forensic issues before the CourtThe Postdoctoral Fellow will learn how to communicate their findings and offer their opinions regarding the clinical matter in clear and concise format that can be used by legal professionalsIn addition, the Postdoctoral Fellowship will provide the opportunity to learn how to make appropriate recommendations for interventions and will develop skills in providing clinical consultation to judges, attorneys and probation officersThe primary task of this postdoctoral training program is to provide advanced training in a highly specialized field of professional psychology As the Postdoctoral Fellow, you will develop a thorough knowledge of mental health lawYou will learn how to apply psychological principles within forensic evaluations during the Postdoctoral FellowshipYou will also gain an understanding of the relevant legal and mental health systemsDuring the Postdoctoral Fellowship, you will develop skills in forensic clinical assessment for use within the juvenile courtThe assessments will have a focus on supporting access for youth and families to resources that support positive development and improve their overall functioning.
