Head of Expense Management - MM Operations

The TeamAs the Head of Expense Management, you will be an experienced finance and strategic professional who wants to work with a diverse team of highly motivated professionals focused on proactively driving the development and execution of expense forecasting and reporting, expense management, prioritization and realization of strategic programs benefits, meaningful analysis and control execution for MassMutual Operations activities.
This role is a unique opportunity to work with senior leadership and experience a holistic view of the enterprise while influencing financial and customer experience outcomes and collaborating with critical broader enterprise functions.
The team also includes the financial controls functions for the Operations organization.

The ImpactYou will work across Operations and with Corp Finance and CFO, as well as Product to validate, expense allocations, forecasts and actual expense results, including analysis of other operations metrics (could include placement rates, unit costs, Annual Incentive Program metrics, etc.
).
Working with Operations Senior Leaders you will report and analyze expense results and drive our forecasting process to reflect business changes experienced / anticipated.
Working with Procurement and Vendor Management teams, you will be responsible for reconciling contracts, leading, and gathering of benchmarked data, to better manage expenses & operational processes.
You will be responsible for conducting special studies in relation to organizational effectiveness, including competitive assessments for functions across operations.
While analyzing project specific expectations and results, ensure benefits and costs of CBA s for all projects are met, and that any benefits are visible and appropriately reinvested or captured.
Collaborate with finance and portfolio partners to support alignment of financial and organizational health information.
Build and maintain initiatives for the SLT to jointly manage progress to enable resource decision making and enhance customer/advisor satisfaction.
Infuse metrics into quarterly strategic discussions for review and action.
Leverage data and measurement to position positive progress.
This is an opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a highly dynamic and agile environment to collaborate across teams seeking solid execution and improving outcomes.
You will provide sound financial advice to Operations business units or other departments, anticipating the financial and business impacts of changes in the business environment and make recommendations to ensure appropriate processes are implemented and maintained.
Your responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to the following:
Managing a team of professionals and lead the collaboration and oversight of operations expenses, strategic impact and other key business processes.
Ensures the accurate, timely completion of monthly, quarterly and annual processes by effectively planning, monitoring, and problem solving.
Designs and improves the analysis on trends and results, drafting commentary which enables readers to quickly understand the financial results and drivers.
Effectively collaborates with CFO, SP&D, Product and across Operations and builds key relationships to understand financial and business impacts.
Exhibit strong leadership presence and communications skills in presenting results to various levels of management.
This will require thought leadership and entail developing sound operational / strategic and finance practices, efficient processes, and robust control documentation to effectively deliver timely and insightful results.
Demonstrates the technical and leadership competencies and passion for continuous improvement.
Reviews and reconciles Cost Benefit Analysis, driving benefits realization.

Salary Range:
$159,800.
00-$209,700.
