Summary:
The Lay-up operator assembles components by laying composites and materials such as pre-impregnated fiberglass cloth onto molds.
Responsible for the hand layup of advanced composite materials on designated tooling per specific work instructions and customer specifications.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ability to handle multiple tasks and organize resources to ensure work is completed on time.
Knowing and following all clean room protocols, keeping work areas clean, organized, and maintaining equipment, as well as following requirements for clean room apparel and behavior.
Ensure that all labor hours are accurately recorded Open communication with supervisor as well as management and project engineer.
Ensure familiarity with all appropriate work instructions and procedures and request assistance if something is not understood.
Follow traveler instructions to ensure standards and requirements are met.
Marking of all operation completion stamps and OSV stamps upon conclusion of every operation.
Ensure all documentation received is complete and request assistance if something is missing or incorrect Responsible for individual efficiency and quality Assure work areas are kept clean and organized.
Observe clean room requirements for cleanliness Adhere to all OSHA safety requirements and APC safety procedures.
Adhere to Export Compliance Program GENERAL The position includes all other responsibilities that may be necessary to fulfill the duties associated with the position or as may be assigned.
