The Director of Infrastructure and Technology is responsible for aligning the infrastructure and technology architecture vision with the business' vision and strategy by integrating our business processes, needs, and requirements to the appropriate technologies. You will also be responsible for all aspects of developing, implementing and maintaining infrastructure supporting compute, capacity, voice and data initiatives within the enterprise. In this role, the Director ensures high performance, consistency, reliability and scalability of all such technology offerings. This individual maintains existing enterprise infrastructure while providing direction in all new technology-related initiatives and issues in support of core business goals and objectives. Additionally the Director oversees the three data centers that operate and enterprise systems and regional customers.
In this role you will be responsible for building and maintaining a team of highly skilled managers, technical and operations specialists. This position provides leadership, vision, strategic planning and direction to all managerial, supervisory and technical staff.
In addition, the Director is responsible for the development and implementation of long-term strategies related to acquisition, implementation, and ongoing operation of the various technical platforms and architecture
In this role you will have an operating expense budget of over $10M, annual capital expenses of over $10M, and over 20 employees.
Directs the process of capacity analysis and functional assessment for all technical platforms.
Ensures the adequate system capacity is always available for current demands, and additional capacity for unforeseen needs is available within reasonable time and cost parameters.
Ensures that timely and appropriate maintenance and upgrades are performed for all hardware, operating systems, computer facility environmental systems, and production program and data files.
Directs the establishment of production control procedures.
Coordinates the development of technical systems' factors for Service Level Agreements (SLA) and monitors reports that document actual performance against these benchmarks.
Develops new methods to increase productivity and reduce costs; identifies obstacles that impact efficient operations.
Contributes to the development and formulating technical strategies consistent with long-range business objectives and strategies.
Contributes to the development and maintenance of a plan for each of the key technical platforms, addressing upgrades, changes, and new implementations that are required to meet the business objectives.
Maintains a working knowledge of trends in both technology and operations.
Advises IT on hardware and operational aspects of planned systems implementations.
Leads the development of the IT Business Recovery Plan, ensuring that system and data recovery procedures address both routine and catastrophic outages.
Participates in the development and daily operations of both problem and security management functions, acting as an advisor to other IS and client groups.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree is required, Master's degree preferred.
You must have a minimum of 10 years of IT experience with 5 years of proven management experience.
Must have expert technical and operations in network infrastructure, telecommunications and data centers.
Must have extensive experience with storage area networks and data management, database administration, Intel, mainframe and Unix based computing platforms.
Preferred experience includes data center design, integration and consolidation.
Compensation depending on
Experience: $140,000.00
