Our client is working to build a strong software development team. Salary is negotiable depending on level of experience. This position my be based in the Suffield, CT office or at the downtown Springfield office at Monarch Place.
The .Net Developer is a challenging opportunity with a company that seeks a highly motivated individual with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals and meet deadlines. Developer is responsible for the complete life cycle of the application development process. This includes working with business analysts and customers to define, develop, document and maintain technical specifications as well as design, build, test, debug, document, and maintain custom applications, reports, and database queries using a variety of technologies.
Education
Four year college degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience, Computer Science or related field preferred.
Required Skills
.Microsoft Visual Studio including ASP.Net with VB code behind
Practical knowledge of N-Tier development
Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS, Advanced knowledge of relational databases
Microsoft Team Foundation Server
CSS, XML, JavaScript, AJAX
Experience
Minimum of five years of applications development using ASP.Net w/VB.Net code behind
Minimum of four years of Microsoft SQL Server development
Minimum of 2 years of SSRS and SSIS development
Some project management experience preferred
Competencies
High level of analytical thinking, organizational skills, and self-motivation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to create accurate and thorough documentation
Ability to work well independently and to successfully collaborate with others on projects
Attention to Detail
Ability to create detailed project plans preferred
Work experience: 5 years
Upper salary range: Up to 100,000 plus $500 Christmas Bonus

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
