Physician (Primary Care)

Caring for Veterans with compassion and quality to maximize achievement of health goals and improve quality of life. The incumbent will be able to provide comprehensive primary care to both male and female patients. The Primary Care Provider will work as part of a health care team termed a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT). The team consists of the Patient, Provider, RN Care Manager, LPN or health technician, and a medical support assistant. Work Schedule:

United States Citizenship:
Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. Experience:
Board certified in internal medicine or family practice and 2-3 years of experience. Interpersonal skills are imperative for achieving the mission of providing the best patient-centered care possible. Flexibility, problem solving skills and ability to communicate effectively are also desired. Reference:

Light lifting, under 25 pounds; light carrying, under 25 pounds; reaching above shoulder; use of fingers; walking (8 hours); standing (8 hours); repeated bending (1 hour); and hearing (aid permitted); working closely with others; working alone; protracted or irregular hours of work and occasional emotional strain.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
